"It was an amazing moment in mountain biking and a highlight in Bourdo's career" said veteran photographer ace Scott Markewitz of the photo of Robbie stomping the 70 ft. flat spin in the Utah out back. Last year Bourdo tried to land the same move for his segment in NWD 8 but was unsucessful. "It felt really good to go back and stomp it," said Bourdo days later back at the Freeride office in Nelson. Gee, Dan and Rachel were excited to get loose in the desert and get a glimpse of the terrain that Gee railed back in 2004 when he grabbed a sliver in the last Red Bull Rampage. Rumours are floating around that the Rampage may return this fall... let's all cross our fingers. |
